Human Resources Intern
SUMMARY: The Human Resources Intern will have the chance to work on a range of activities in the HR department. You’ll collaborate with an experienced HR team, contribute to real-world solutions, and enhance your skills in Human Resources. This internship offers an opportunity for a current HR student or new grad to get hands-on professional experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a project to modernize MultiTech’s employee file process, researching effective ways to transfer our current system from physical to digital files.
- Assist with coordination and execution of employee engagement events and initiatives, to include planning and coordinating MultiTech’s summer employee picnic.
- Assist with the coordination of merit document creation and distribution.
- Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll, including pre- and post- processing audits and reporting.
- Assist with recruiting and selection process, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Help facilitate onboarding process for new hires.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, entering Junior or Senior year of 4-year program in Fall of 2025.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of HR concepts and practices.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Previous experience working in a professional office environment would be an asset.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting requirements up to 25 pounds.
- Requires sitting for periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Minimal noise.
Our facility includes a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted. No food allowed in the manufacturing area. No cell phone use allowed in manufacturing area unless approved by management.
