The Technical Sales Representative draws on practical knowledge of steam and hot water utilities to provide customers with the best solution available for the application.
Summary/Objective:
Maintain a customer base of key accounts that generate recurring sales to achieve the annual sales plan for the territory.
Essential Functions:
- Build relationships with design engineers, mechanical contractors and end users.
- Majority of time meeting directly on-site with customers.
- Developing opportunities by identifying solutions to solve customer needs.
- Promoting solutions of key manufacturers that we represent.
- Maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) data including daily activities.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school and / or three years of sales experience in mechanical field.
- Experience with steam and hot water systems.
- Ambitious ‘hunter’ sales personality.
- Mechanical aptitude and / or practical knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Technical training provided by company during work hours.
- This position is home based, must live within sales territory.
