POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Inventory Control Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient inventory management and control processes. This position will involve monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with various departments to reconcile discrepancies, and implementing best practices to optimize inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management Support:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and databases.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
Process Improvement and Analysis:
- Monitor inventory movements and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of inventory control policies and procedures.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate reports on inventory status, variances, and trends for management review.
- Provide support for special projects and initiatives related to inventory management.
Inventory Control Policy Adherence:
- Assist in the resolution of inventory-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to maintain accuracy and precision in inventory tracking and reconciliation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret inventory data and identify trends and patterns.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve inventory control objectives.
- Aptitude for identifying issues and implementing solutions to improve inventory management processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 1 – 2 years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with inventory audits and cycle counts is a plus.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and principles.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
