Mays Chemical is currently recruiting a Warehouse Coordinator in the Greenwood production plant. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the movement of products, materials, and supplies into and out of a company, utilizing skills and experience in inventory management, shipment preparation, shipment tracking, communication, shipping/receiving coordination, cross referencing incoming and outgoing material against invoices, and processing orders by reviewing, and making needed changes, returns, and cancellations.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Practice the principles of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement under the GFSI guidelines.
  • Generate pick tickets, bill of ladings, labels, and other required documentation for product shipments.
  • Pick, process, and prepare all outgoing customer shipments according to specifications, MC Quality Standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Review all shipment confirmation information to ensure the correct products are shipped.
  • Generate purchase orders, receivers, and other required documentation for the receipt of materials.
  • Review all purchase order information to ensure the correct products are received.
  • Check incoming materials for proper quantities, damages, defects, heat treated pallets, etc.
  • Conduct inspections of transport vehicles at time of receipt or shipment and completes the proper documentation.
  • Load and unload all incoming receipts and outgoing shipments using a forklift/pallet jack.
  • Stage incoming and outgoing materials accordingly.
  • Work with the Production Manager to create the weekly production schedule. 
  • Check and maintain inventory levels, and transfer inventory (product, packaging, etc.) as needed for production.
  • Enter transfers of finished good material to MC Headquarters for storage, as necessary.
  • Utilize the ERP system to generate shipping, receiving, and production documentation.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

 

Education/Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in a shipping/logistics/warehouse operations role or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; maintain a high level of accuracy; and self-directed with a strong ability to multi-task.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures, and the ability to apply such knowledge to practical situations.
  • Work effectively with all levels of management, customers, suppliers and company personnel; interacting with both internal and external customers in a professional and diplomatic manner.
  • Possesses excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Successfully develop outstanding customer and supplier relationships. 
  • Display excellent decision-making abilities, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem identification/resolution skills
  • Demonstrate excellent time management abilities; self-motivated.
  • Successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects within conflicting operational demands and tight deadline constraints.
  • Set and maintain quality goals and objectives that are consistent with company goals and objectives.
  • Organize and control inventoried items, both physically and by computer.
  • Effectively prepare reports, and analysis using typical business software tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
