Sales - Director, Sales

Summary: Enable and motivate the sales team Latin America to continuously increase profitable order intake.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead functional and disciplinary activities of the department staff; selection, strategic positioning, management, sales plans development; and motivate staff.
  • Ensure a sustained business development and handling of quotations and order management in accordance to the processes and rules of the division strategies and plans.
  • Contact the customer’s decision makers and build customer intimacy at high management levels.
  • Responsibility to support regional Segment Head Americas on the BTA’s and strategy for Latin America.
  • Provide bid management / support, incl. calculation of costs and prices.
  • Optimize processes of operation in accordance with the superior process and in alignment with the Head of Sales Americas.
  • Support regional Segment Head Americas in planning of O.I. and revenue.
  • Plan, budget and control according to planning of the superior.
  • Ramp-up and expand of market knowledge and continuous monitoring, as well as support of Market Intelligence in product development and monitoring of competitors.
  • Achievement of the planned order intake, revenues, profit and growth strategy as well as the management of the BTAs.
  • Leading, planning, monitoring and controlling of the business and perform optimization of the processes (CIP) within the area of responsibility.
  • Comply with requirements under corporate and MAN-ES regulations.

 

Required Education:

Degree in Engineering, Business/ Economics or equivalent background.

 

Required Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of previous Sales / marketing experience in the Energy sector (generation or Fuel supply industries)

Other skills:

  • Highly structured and organized.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively manage constructive conflict.

 

Physical Requirements:

Primarily works in an office environment performing routine administrative tasks that involves frequent sitting and occasional standing.
