Assistant Manager - Collections Specialist (Temporary 3 Months)

EXL Health is hiring a temporary (three months) Collections Specialist. This is a work from home opportunity.

Core Function:

Function as a collections specialist in the medical/RX claims field. Fully manage collections for RX paid claims. Responsibilities will include contacting and communicating with other payer to seek reimbursement/collections timely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Optimize recovery efforts by identifying and obtaining collections for RX payers.
• Resolve recovery inquiries.
• Research further opportunities for collection efforts.
• Maintain efficient collections processes and programs.
• Participate in product brainstorming.
• Oversee RX collections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with claims collections or recovery.
• Proven track record of successful PBM/reclamation collections.
• 3 years of payment integrity experience.

Skills and Behavior Requirements:

• Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, and Pharmacy Benefit Management. 
• Take responsibility for interactions with clients and providers.
• Communicate and report product output.
• Extensive knowledge of claims / able to speak to claims processing.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven track record of creating efficient processes.
• Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and other lines of business.
• Experience/knowledge with automation/scripting/macros.
• Experience navigating claims system.
