Position Summary:
The Customer Master Data Manager will be responsible for the accuracy, consistency and timeliness in the set up of customer master data in existing systems. This position will be responsible for the implementation of new systems/ tools, development and management of SOP’s and best business practices and establish efficiencies in the processes related to customer setup. The position will be interacting with Business Segment leadership, Sales, Credit and Collections management, the Cash posting team, and Finance leadership.
- Manages the team of Customer Data Specialists that set up, reactivate and maintain customer accounts.
- Manages JDE customer master data across the country ensuring accurate, timely setup and maintenance of JDE customer data.
- Assists in the creation, execution and maintenance of SOP’s, SOX policies, naming conventions, data standards, training documentation, etc. and trains staff ensuring the compliance of consistent master data entry across the country.
- Defines and maintains master file data change management processes including workflow, decision and change rights tracking and change impact analysis.
- Takes a “hands on” approach to cleansing data; resolving data related issues through strong skills in root cause analysis and provides solutions for customer setup issues.
- Continuously evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the experience of the customer, cash posting team, credit and collection team members and management.
- Supports future acquisitions & JDE integrations as it relates to customer master data.
- Coordinates and acts as liaison with IT department as appropriate for mass customer master data changes.
- Supports internal and external audits as requested.
- Develops stakeholder management relationships across all segments, developing a professional business partnering affiliation.
- Gains trust and confidence from stakeholders around performance delivery, ensuring appropriate and pro-active communication channels are in place.
- Audits new customer applications and supports the team as necessary to obtain all necessary documentation for Directors/ Leads to perform credit reviews & assignment of terms.
- Assists/ manages special projects impacting the workflow between customer setup, cash applications and credit and collections.
- Performs additional duties as directed.
