Position Summary: The Shared Services Coordinator plays a key role in efficiently managing operations within the Janitorial Division. This position focuses on supporting recruiting and staffing activities in collaboration with the Recruiting and Human Resources teams.
Position Responsibilities: As a Shared Services Coordinator with a staffing focus, key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with the Shared Services Coordinator focused on recruiting.
- Managing requisitions in Dayforce.
- Posting job openings to the company’s Career Page through Dayforce, as well as external platforms like ZipRecruiter, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, BHive, and others.
- Tracking the progress of job orders and the hiring process using Dayforce and Google Docs; updating records daily and communicating updates to the management team.
- Handling all onboarding activities, including processing employee paperwork and electronic documents promptly and accurately.
- Maintaining employee records in compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Conducting and reviewing background checks and administering drug tests.
- Leading new hire processes, including conducting warm welcomes and New Hire Orientation sessions.
- Cross-training on Customer Profiles for various accounts.
- Serving as a backup for other Shared Services Coordinators during their absence.
- Scheduling and conducting New Employee Orientations.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Position Qualifications: To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Required:
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting, staffing, and onboarding.
- Familiarity with general business office operations, including filing and clerical tasks.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals, and procedural guidelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and the public while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Competence in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, with the ability to use a calculator.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to follow instructions in various formats.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with human resources principles and practices (e.g., SHRM certification).
- Knowledge of computerized HRIS systems, particularly Dayforce.
- Fluency in English and/or Spanish.
Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this role include:
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Frequent sitting with occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
- Occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color vision, and focus adjustment.
