MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Customer Service and Operations
- Assists Branch Manager in the efforts of branch employees in providing a high level of customer service, including management of customer service issues, customer dialogue, and telephone customer service, as well as training by example.
- Assists in Developing and maintaining branch operational plan
- Use initiative, independent judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills to perform a variety of duties and solve problems. Some examples include: approving pricing for T&M work on contract work, approving additional billing hours, approving subcontracting as needed, etc.
- Manages overall branch operations in absence of and/or request of the Branch Manager
Human Resource Management
- Assists in coaching, training, managing and developing employees
- Provides continual feedback regarding employee performance; meet with personnel to monitor sales goals and overall performance
- Assists Branch Manager in maintaining accurate record of employee performance and other human resource functions as directed, such as attendance records, etc.
- Assists in administering and/or recommend disciplinary action, promotions, transfers and/or other personnel actions
- Oversees recruiting initiatives in the market or as assigned by Branch or Regional Manager
Sales and Marketing/Financial Performance
- Assists in developing, planning and actively participates in branch sales and marketing efforts to increase and improve business
- Assists in training, motivating and coaching employees to increase branch sales by understanding, communicating, and using The Budd Group sales process to promote and sell additional contract services and T&M services
- Assists in managing branch receivables, including negotiating payment plans, collecting difficult accounts receivables, preparing write-offs for uncollectible accounts, and recommending accounts for referral to collection
- Assists in supervising and training other employees regarding branch accounting procedures to include accounts payable process, payroll process, and accounts receivable process
Operations Management and Maintenance
- Assists Branch Manager in evaluation of operations mix and utilization
- Assists Branch Manager in implementing and managing safety program and policy
- Assists Branch Manager to ensure completion of daily payroll reconciliation
- Assists in management of equipment maintenance and repairs, including preventative maintenance
Qualifications:
- College degree with 5-10 years experience in management capacity in the business to business service industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Organized and able to effectively manage time while working on multiple engagements in a high pace environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
