We are seeking a part-time Receptionist to join our team! This role provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks that support the effective and efficient operation of the clinic.
 

Duties & Responsibilities:    

  • Responsible for greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate staff
  • Answers the phone and appropriately routes calls
  • Schedules and confirms new and returning patient appointment(s)
  • Minimizes cancellations and empty appointment slots
  • Collects co-payments at time of service and collects patient insurance and privacy forms
  • Compiles and records medical charts, reports and correspondence
  • Educates patients about their insurance and how physical therapy treatment plans work
  • Assists with physical therapy aide duties, when applicable 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Prior medical office or customer service experience preferred

Position Summary 

The receptionist position provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks that support the effective and efficient operation of the clinic. The receptionist duties include, but are not limited to, being responsible for answering incoming calls, mail distribution and flow of correspondence, general patient intake tasks, and scheduling patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Prior medical office or customer service experience preferred. 

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

 
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.  
  • Demonstrates understanding of and practices the principles of effective teamwork, including maintaining positive, collaborative, and constructive interpersonal relationships.  
  • Understands and demonstrates excellent customer service.  
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize work assignments.  
  • Adapts easily to changes in work assignments and environment, is willing to assume additional 
  • responsibility and learn new procedures.  
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including desktop computers, telephones, scanners, and fax machines.  
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.  
 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone.  
  • Must be able to access and navigate the office space.  
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
