Primary Purpose of Position

 

The Massage Therapist/Esthetician administers professional massage, facials and body treatments to our guests. They must have the ability to perform Swedish and deep tissue massage and be willing to train in The Spa at Rock Creek’s specific massage and body treatment offerings. They must also be skilled with facials and skincare practices.

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing five-star service to guests by always maintaining a high level of customer service. Applicants must have or be able to get their Montana State Massage License and have Esthetics Certification in accordance with Montana requirements.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Support The Spa at Rock Creek philosophy through the consistent use of its standards and procedures.
  2. Provide consistent, high-quality treatments in accordance with spa protocols.
  3. Effective time management with treatments, consultations and ability to consistently check schedule throughout the day.
  4. Escort guests to and from the treatment room and attend to any immediate needs throughout the Spa visit.
  5. Support in spa reception & spa attendant duties.
  6. Ensure guest comfort and safety during their treatment and all times when in the spa.
  7. Proficient with product knowledge, recommendations for home care, and proper usage in protocols.
  8. Reports maintenance and dysfunctional equipment issues to the Spa Supervisor
  9. Attend spa meetings or training courses as required.
  10. Continuously hold oneself to a professional standard with a five-star attitude and conduct all spa responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Spa Supervisor
  11. Uphold standards of sanitation, sterilization and cleanliness as direct by law and the spa’s standards, in addition to properly caring for spa equipment
  12. Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying excellent customer service, executes all Forbes Five Star Standards, and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
  13. Possess understanding of the Ranch & local area for the ability to courteously interact and answer all spa and ranch related questions.
  14. Ability to assist co-workers in the spa as well as assist other ranch departments to help contribute to the success of the property.
  15. Maintain current licensures for Massage Therapy and Esthetics.
  16. Communicate to Spa Supervisor, all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.

Education/Experience

 

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Book4Time and Opera experience preferred.
  3. Current Montana State Massage License/Esthetics License
  4. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a luxury hospitality spa appreciated

Skills/Equipment

 

  1. Strong communication, both written and verbal, with guests, Spa Supervisor and other Ranch Employees
  2. Strong computer skills.
  3. Essential organizational skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
  4. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  5. Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Positive attitude, team player with amazing customer service skills.
