Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Areas of Responsibility and Job Requirements
Performs the day-to-day processing of property-related accounts receivable transactions. Supervises & provides training for current and incoming staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise team of AR Specialists and Coordinators
- Review Specialist and Coordinators work for accuracy
- Handles the posting of resident payments and deposits funds into the bank.
- Posts Section 8 (HAP) check payments into the system and deposit funds into the bank. Post Section 8 (HAP) payments via Wires.
- Review and Sign HAP Contracts
- Process tenants move ins and initial billing.
- Process tenants move out. Performs security deposit refunds, reconciliation, and transfer payments from operating account to security deposit account.
- Analyze and adjust tenant rental ledger and lease charges as needed.
- Upload lease renewals to Subsidy Portals. Post and update lease charges to reflect new subsidy breakdowns and adjust tenant’s ledger accordingly.
- Maintain Scrie/Drie and Public Assistance Program Updates
- Perform monthly analysis of subsidy arrears and work with supervisor for collection process and write offs.
- Handles Customer Service via phones and emails.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Associate Degree
- LIHTC certification, preferred
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
- 4+ years of comparable experience
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Excel, MS work and general computer and office skills are required
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience with Yardi or similar industry-related software is preferred
- Bilingual a plus
Competencies/Essential Job Functions:
This position consists mainly of light physical work. The position may require exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The role involves sitting most of the time.
The incumbent is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned or to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, reviewing data, view computer screens for extended periods of time, extensive reading, etc.
- This role frequently requires the incumbent to grasp, engage in repetitive movements with the wrist, hands, and fingers, typing for extended period of time.
- The role also requires incumbent to talk and hear, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken work and the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make distinctions in sound.
Work Environment:
The incumbent may occasionally be subject to noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the noise.
