Summary: The Instrumentation, Sampling Equipment, and Air Drying Equipment Technician serves as an ambassador for the Company and is responsible for repairs, maintenance, and installation of sampling equipment, flow monitoring equipment, and valve actuation equipment installed at a customer’s facility. Services are performed on-site and on-demand to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform checks to diagnose and repair problems with sampling, flow monitoring air-drying equipment before they occur.
- Perform preventative maintenance and operational checks on sample, flow monitoring and air-drying equipment.
- Respond to emergency calls during normal operating hours and outside of normal operating hours.
- Program, troubleshoot microprocessor and PLC-based equipment controls.
- Resolve customer-initiated technical issues.
- Ability to startup and troubleshoot sampling, flow monitoring, and air drying equipment.
- Work at the customer site.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Serves as a technical resource to customers.
- Partner with company sales representatives and management to increase service and aftermarket business.
- Ability to travel to assist other company technicians as needed.
- Complete daily reports and maintenance checklists as required and send them to the customer and company admin team.
- Generate annual and semi-annual service quotes along with one time repair quotes.
- Provide onsite training to customers when needed
Competencies
- Strong Instrumentation and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Basic Mechanical and Electrical experience
- Good Communication, Customer Service and Consultative Skills.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to use computer and service software.
- Company will furnish hand tools and associated diagnostic equipment
- Mileage Reimbursement
- Live in the Western Pa/Cleveland Ohio area
- Willing to train the right candidate.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, but candidate must be able to work flexible hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Local travel is expected with this position 100% of the time.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have Mechanical Aptitude.
- Previous work history with a service based organization.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- The ability to pass government background checks and regular drug screening.
- Refrigeration Experience a plus but not required.
Required License and certifications
- Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Good driving record.
