Summary/Objective
The Pump Mechanic serves as an ambassador for the Company and is responsible for repairs and maintenance of pumps and related equipment. Services are performed in-shop and on-site and on-demand. All mechanics are encouraged to apply, willing to train.
Essential Functions
- Inspect and test malfunctioning pumps and determine the cause of the problem
- Repair or replace defective parts to restore the pump to working condition
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on pumps such as lubricating parts and checking for leaks
- Install new pumps and related equipment, following manufacturer’s specifications
- Adjust and align pumps and motors to ensure optimal performance
- Test the performance of newly installed or repaired pumps
- Maintain records of all installation, repair, and maintenance work
- Provide advice and consultation to clients on pump maintenance and proper usage
- Order necessary parts and equipment for repair and maintenance jobs
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Strong Mechanical and Problem Solving Skills.
- General electrical knowledge is a plus.
- Instrumentation skills are a plus.
- TIG/MIG Welding skills are a plus.
- Metal fabrication skills are a plus.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment
This job operates in a service shop environment both on company and customer site locations. This role routinely uses hand and power tools as well as office equipment such as laptop computers, and smartphones.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel will be local. There may be times where overnight travel is required but that will be an exception.
Required Education and Experience
- Previous mechanic experience equipment is highly desired.
- Previous work history of 2 to 3 years in a shop environment is preferred.
Required License and certifications
- Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Good driving record.
