Restaurant Server

Position Overview:
Join our team at MacArthur Place as a Restaurant Server, where you'll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities include taking and serving orders, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities Overview:

1. Guest Service: Greet guests, present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders, serve meals promptly, check on satisfaction, and help address concerns. Handle payments using a POS system.

2. Menu Knowledge: Know menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions to make recommendations and suggest beverage pairings.

3. Table Setup and Maintenance: Set up and maintain tables with utensils and glassware, ensuring a clean dining area and clearing dishes during service.

4. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant staff for seamless communication about orders and assist with tasks during busy periods.

5. Health, Safety, and Hygiene Compliance: Follow food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain cleanliness and regularly sanitize work areas.

6. Inventory and Stock Management: Monitor and restock inventory as needed, informing management of low supplies.

7. Upselling and Revenue Maximization: Suggest additional menu items and specials to enhance guest experiences and boost sales.

8. Problem Resolution: Promptly report, address and resolve service issues, escalating to management when necessary.

9. Training and Development: Engage in ongoing training to improve service skills and assist in onboarding new staff.

10. Compliance with Policies and Procedures: Adhere to hotel and restaurant policies regarding health, safety, time & attendance, meal & rest breaks, grooming, and guest service while maintaining professionalism.

11. Qualifications: Previous experience in hospitality or food & beverage is preferred (training provided). Strong customer service, communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs., and have flexible availability for various shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire) are required.

12. Work Environment: The restaurant is fast-paced and high-pressure, particularly during peak times. Staff collaborate closely while adhering to food safety and sanitation policies for a safe dining experience.

13. Others: Perform pre- and post-shift duties and any other duties and services as required by management and operational demands.
