Job tile - Sr. Developer Hybrid Role

 

Responsibilities

  • Must have experience on Life Admin Systems/ Life Insurance, Annuity products.
  • Min 8+ years of experience in development of policy administration system (COBOL)
  • Min 8+ years of experience in development/maintenance and Support projects of Mainframe preferably Cobol & DB2.
  • Min 6+ years of experience in SQL
  • Must have good understanding of Policy Admin System conversion/Migration.
  • Must have good knowledge of Policy Administration System design and architecture.
  • Must have hand-on experience of Insurance Policy Admin System Migration/Conversion project
  • Must be aware of new technologies and market updates with respect to Life and Annuity business.
  • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and design the proposed IT solution.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations and provide input to information/ data flow and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.
  • Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
  • Document High Level and Low Level technical specifications.
  • Good communication, problem solving & interpersonal skills.
  • Having Life insurance certifications such as LOMA will be added advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • COBOL/DB2/VSAM
  • Meetings & Reviews, Reporting & Documentation
  • Very well versed with tools and techniques for efficient project management and reporting.

Soft skills (Desired)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Leadership skills
  • Self-Motivated and ability to drive a large group.

Education/ Work Experience Requirements

  • B.TECH/MCA
  • PMP/ITIL will be preferred.
  • 8yrs – 10yrs of experience in Mainframe Projects preferably in insurance domain.

  • Max Hiring Rate $120,000.00
