To provide service for guests when arriving and departing from the hotel and to give guests information and directions in a prompt and professional manner. Handles all movement of luggage (temporary, long-term storage, lost baggage). Provides a prompt delivery of mails and messages. Organizes a prompt Taxi service and assist in airport transferring.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Provides a high standard of service within the department and a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area.
  • Handles all guests’ queries or requests in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Handles all movement of luggage (temporary, long term storage, lost baggage).
  • Extends fully cooperation within and between departments.
  • Notifies supervisors regarding any unusual events (emergency cases, accident, the failure of any system etc.)
  • Provides a prompt delivery of mails and messages.
  • Delivers newspapers to guest rooms and Serviced Apartments on time.
  • Briefs new shift personnel when handling over at the end of the shift.
  • Assists in escorting guests to their rooms.
  • Provides door service, entrance to hotel and driveway, to ensure a smooth traffic flow.
  • Organizes a prompt TAXI service and assist in airport transferring.
  • Handles paging requests.
  • Assist guests as required.
  • Knows about all events and activities accruing in and out of the hotel.
  • Be familiar with the emergency procedure of the hotel and be able to handle any emergency according to the procedures.
  • Complies with all FO systems and procedures and with all company policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
