IT Systems Manager, SAAS

PURPOSE:

We are seeking an experienced and technically adept IT Systems Manager to lead and oversee the development, administration, architecture, strategy of our business and IT SaaS applications. This role will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of SaaS applications, focusing on architecture design, API integrations, automation, and strategic alignment to meet business goals.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Application Development and Management:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end development, testing, and deployment of SaaS-based applications across business and IT functions.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable and secure SaaS solutions, ensuring system availability and high performance.
• Develop, deploy, and manage RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration between SaaS platforms and internal/external applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Oversee the technical customization, configuration, and continuous improvement of SaaS applications to align with evolving business needs.

Integration and Automation:

• Oversee the development and management of integration services to enable data exchange between SaaS applications and on-premises systems.
• Lead efforts to automate repetitive business processes by leveraging SaaS automation tools, APIs, and third-party connectors.
• Establish and enforce API management standards, security protocols, and governance practices to ensure data integrity and system security.

Administration and Technical Support:

• Administer and optimize SaaS application performance, including monitoring, configuration management, and capacity planning.
• Develop and enforce best practices for security configurations, system administration, and data governance.
• Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to SaaS applications, APIs, and integrations.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation, technical guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Strategy and Architecture Planning:

• Define and execute a comprehensive SaaS architecture strategy that aligns with organizational goals and industry standards.
• Conduct technology assessments, analyze existing systems, and identify gaps, opportunities, and risks within the current architecture.
• Develop a strategic roadmap for SaaS platform deployment, upgrades, decommissioning, and future enhancements.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends, recommending solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and security.

Governance and Compliance:

• Establish and maintain technical standards, development guidelines, and best practices for SaaS and integration projects.
• Ensure all SaaS solutions comply with regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Evaluate and select third-party vendors, managing vendor relationships, service-level agreements (SLAs), and performance benchmarks.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and architecting SaaS-based applications, with a focus on integrations and APIs.
• Proven experience with API development and management, cloud computing, and integration platforms.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

• Deep technical knowledge of SaaS platforms and technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, SAP Concur, SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with API design, RESTful services, SOAP, GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and containerization.
• Proficiency in application development methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
