Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The purpose of the Administrative Assistant is to assist with the employee recruitment process, ensuring efficiency in employment and other Human Resources and Safety processes. 

·     Assist with the management of the application process to ensure the timely completion of related new-hire paperwork.

·    Effectively maintain adequate employee files and records.

·   Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes.

·   Schedule applicants for pre-employment screenings and new-hire orientation.

·   Assist the HR manager with employee/personnel projects, including benefits administration and the open enrollment process.

·  Prepare employee badges and maintenance of employee badge database.

·  Maintain up-to-date files for BEK employees, which might include performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, original hire data and other confidential information.

·  Order and maintain department supplies, forms, and materials.

·   Compile reports and develop various types of correspondence as directed by the HR Manager.

·   Collaborate with HR teams in other divisions as required.

·   May perform receptionist/mail relief duties as needed.

·   Aid in organizing employee meetings, conferences, and other Ben E. Keith functions.

·   Perform special projects as directed by the HR Manager.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications. 
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
