Forklift Operator

Job Overview

This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house.   In this role you will be responsible for operating an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments.

What you will be doing on a daily basis:

• Pick Kill Tasks
• Consolidation inventory in reserve locations
• Assist in Delanco during peak times/vacations
• Delanco-Pull outbound orders/replenishments
• Delanco- Offload/load trailers
• Delanco- Process kills
• Delanco-Operate Hogger
• Delanco-Send daily summaries of workload completed
• All other duties required by department workload

Some requirements:

• You must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to use an RF. 
• Ability to drive Bendi/Order Selector/Low Rider/Pacer/Drexel/Turret
• You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills
  Some analytical experience is preferable.
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Shift and Schedule:

• Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the morning shift, working Monday- Friday (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).  There is an opportunity for overtime as well.
