AULT a company of Alta Equipment Group, is seeking a full-time Shop Foreman for our Waterloo, QC branch. The main responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:
Summary of responsibilities
Management
- Plan, organize and supervise daily production activities in the shop.
- Manage and motivate a team of about ten employees to meet deadlines and ensure quality of work.
- Ensure the training and development of shop employees.
- Manage conflicts and disciplinary measures and carry out performance evaluations.
- Collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Apply and respect occupational health and safety standards.
- Additional tasks, as required.
Mechanical component
- Inspect and diagnose machine defects and malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair and replace parts and components.
- Perform tests on repaired equipment to ensure that it is working properly.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work on equipment.
- Complete all required reports and forms.
Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory position in manufacturing or construction.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a mechanical technician.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the Office Suite.
- Organizational skills, thoroughness and leadership.
- Bilingualism French/English (an asset).
