The Production Analyst is responsible for production management and traceability data collection, analysis, and reporting across all facilities. Working directly with both production staff and senior leadership, the Production Analyst plays an integral role in Acme Smoked Fish’s manufacturing group. The successful candidate will be able to accurately monitor the collection of production data, conduct analysis on that data, and provide and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
What You Will Do At Acme:
- Collect and analyze data from across facilities generated because of production processes that are relevant for production management and traceability. Including, but not limited to:
- Production volume & capacity per plant.
- Yield per Product.
- Productivity per Production Line.
- Quality Performance per Production Line.
- Regular auditing of production data being entered into the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and management of the production database.
- Identify production inefficiencies and develop process improvements to increase efficiency of production.
- Conduct global process balancing analysis to ensure best-in-class resource allocation and cost-to-manufacture across all facilities.
- Create and maintain production reports and documents for internal use to track manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze and update data according to established statistical methods, including generating and auditing statistical reports to verify accuracy.
- Develop and implement process models and operational procedures to enable growth and continuous improvement within the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Education & Experience:
- BA or BS degree in relevant field or a bachelor’s degree with demonstrated relevant professional experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment, food industry a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in analytics in a manufacturing environment, including implementation of process changes on the production floor.
- Experience with collecting, analyzing managing, reconciling, and integrating data from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Processes such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
Your Skills & Abilities:
- Excited and energized by the prospect of working with numbers and conducting comprehensive data analyses.
- High-level of competency with Microsoft Excel, M3 (ERP), and SQL (desired).
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including leading presentations to both production and corporate staff.
- Ability to effectively work and manage responsibilities of multiple projects at a time.
- Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or prolonged periods of standing.
Health & Safety Requirements:
- Observe and follow all safety rules.
- Wear required PPE.
- Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
- Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
