Savage is hiring a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on various machines and equipment in our facility. You will also troubleshoot and repair any mechanical issues that arise and ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations.

What You'll be doing:

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Performing scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on fixed and rotating mechanical equipment
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems, miscellaneous facility maintenance activities, such as i.e. painting, welding, and general labor duties, but not limited to clean-up of equipment, work areas
• Assist other crews and operate equipment as needed
• Provide coverage for absent team members or shorthanded crews as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment

What you'll need: 

• Understand the industrial process and how the different components in a facility interact (Conveyors, Train unloading system, Crushers, Feeders, Pumps, etc.)
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job safety safely
• Follow Savage safety protocols and operate within all rules and procedures
• Dependability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• Flexibility to possible changing hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays)

Physical Requirements: 

• Work in an industrial environment, exposed to elements
• Physically able to handle extensive tools, climb on and off equipment, ascend and descend ladders, and work at heights when necessary
• Lift approximately 0-50 lbs. occasionally
• Lift approximately 0-25 lbs. unassisted and regularly
• Get fitted and utilize the required PPE
