Supply Chain Internship

Sauder internship programs are designed to run 10-12 weeks from May to August. We aim to provide valuable experiences for all interns and the departments they are assigned to. Each intern will take the lead on a project (or projects) for the summer and present to other interns, internship supervisors, and executives at the end of the summer.

 

Position Summary:

As a member of the Logistics Team, a Supply Chain Intern at Sauder Manufacturing Co. will work on projects with the goal to increase customer satisfaction. Project may include;

  • Scheduling and overseeing Education Install Projects
  • Work with internal and external partners to meet the needs of the customers inside of their timelines.
  • Maintaining and populating the project boards.
  • Work with Service Team to understand the claim process and develop a proposal for best mode of communication to internal and external customers.
 

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Currently enrolled in bachelor's or master's program with an emphasis in Business. 
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task and take initiative 
  • Good Communication skills (phone and email)
  • Problem solving with the ability to make decisions
  • Learns quickly and works well in a team
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs and assignments
  • Passion for learning and willingness to ask questions and work independently 
  • Positive attitude and a healthy sense of humility

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit in meetings or at a computer for 2-3 hours at a time.  The employee will also be required to walk through the plants and engineering areas at various times during a typical week.  Use of hands and fingers will be required for writing, computer use, and phone use.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

Work Environment:

The employee is required to work both in an office environment, as well as moving about and communicating on shop floor production and engineering environments.  Personal protective equipment such as eye protection and ear protection may be required in the shop floor environment.
