Summary:
Directs and coordinates, plans, organizes, directs and controls day-to-day Branch sales and operations for assigned Branches. Responsible for Branch consistency with the Company’s strategic direction, achievement of operating budgets and adherence to Company customer service, quality, operating and core values.
GENERAL MANAGEMENT
- Develops, implements, and monitors policies, procedures, programs and plans guiding day-to-day sales and operations of the Branch in a manner that will achieve both short- and long-term goals of the Branch and Company. Teams with other members of Executive Staff in carrying out established general and specific goals and objectives.
- Works in conjunction with other members of the management team in the development of the Company’s business plan, the preparation of the annual budget and in the execution of action plans.
- Executes the marketing plans as developed by the Director of Marketing.
- Establishes and directs projects to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and maintains continuous improvement in all functions at designated Branch.
- Develop and execute sales plans within sales force by working closely with General Managers, Key Account sales representatives and appropriate sales personnel.
- Accepts sales leadership, in concert with other VP-BD&S, for assigned Branch to achieve BakeMark sales goals
FINANCIAL
- Reviews operating results of the designated Branches, compares results to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to meet or exceed expectations.
- Directs development of the annual operating budget at designated Branches.
- Oversees development of the assigned Branch’s capital· budget, project spending, sales and profit goals and performance against anticipated results at designated Branches.
- Assists General Managers in interpretation of results and determination of necessary changes to Branch’s plans.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises Branch General Managers.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of each Branch in a manner that creates harmony within the workforce and promotes an attitude that ensures successful results.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Works closely with the Director of Human Resources with oversight of labor relations including contract negotiations.
- Ensures that personnel maintain knowledge and skills level necessary to accomplish Company objectives. Develops departmental leaders for succession to higher levels or responsibility. Works closely with Director of Human Resources to design, develop, and implement departmental training and education programs.

Office environment, with considerable time spent in a warehouse and/or manufacturing plant with possible exposure to moving machines and equipment.
