Electrical Engineering Intern
SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineering Intern will have the chance to work on diverse projects in the sensor engineering department. By collaborating with experienced developers and contributing to real-world solutions, the intern will enhance their electrical engineering skills. This internship offers a blend of hands-on work and exposure to innovative technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the specification and design of new hardware.
- Work on schematic entry and PCB design.
- Check schematic and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with wireless design in licensed and/or unlicensed bands.
- Assist other departments with product definition, scheduling, production testing, marketing information, technical literature, manuals, customer problems, etc.
- Perform/assist in the support of existing products in the areas of product improvements, “bug” fixes, customizations, etc.
- Adhere to the quality system standards pertaining to the job.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with Altium CAD tools.
- Familiarity with spice simulations.
- Understanding of power supply design, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis.
- Understanding of high-speed analog/digital circuit design/mixed signal design/RF circuit design/low noise analog circuit design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting requirements up to 25 pounds.
- Requires standing and sitting for periods of time.
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Reaching required.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Minimal noise.
Our facility includes a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted. No food allowed in the manufacturing area. No cell phone use allowed in manufacturing area unless approved by management.
