Risk Management Document Writer Intern

SUMMARY: The Risk Management Document Writer Intern will have the opportunity to write a business continuity plan and a fire protection plan for the organization. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, contribute to real-world solutions, enhance your skills in Document Writing and gain experience with Risk Management and Mitigation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research, organize, and write a business continuity plan and a fire protection plan for MultiTech.
• Review maps and past documentation to build a framework for the new plans.
• Collaborate with department managers and subject matter experts to obtain feedback for the documents.
• Assist in identifying risk management opportunities for the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operations and supply management, risk management, technical writing, or related field, entering Junior or Senior year of a 4-year program in Fall of 2025.

• Strong research, data organization, writing, and communications skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
• Previous experience working in a professional office environment would be an asset.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Lifting requirements up to 25 pounds
• Requires sitting for periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Minimal noise.

Our facility includes a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted. No food allowed in the manufacturing area. No cell phone use allowed in manufacturing area unless approved by management.
