Job Summary: As the Facilities Manager, you will manage and perform duties to maintain the grounds, building, and building equipment, including all aspects of operating systems. Your role is critical in ensuring our facilities run smoothly and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, gas, air, and water installations, along with sewers, fire sprinklers, and alarm systems.
- Monitor daily and maintain building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management, to ensure reliability.
- Report defective facility equipment and recommend the replacement of obsolete or damaged equipment when estimates of repair cost are excessive.
- Implement policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
- Oversee vendors or contractors engaged for construction and maintenance projects.
- Train supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service, and safety standards, and local laws and regulations.
- Expedite building and equipment repairs in construction to avoid production delays.
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of the work area, etc.).
- Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
- Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ability to lead and direct the work of other employees.
- Full authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
- Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 5 or more years of experience.
