Finishing Specialist II - Day Shift
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5AM-5PM
Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing various finishing operations as qualified in a fast-paced medical manufacturing environment while strictly adhering to all applicable safety and quality policies. In addition, this position is expected to meet production standards as reflected in the ERP system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
- Interpret applicable blueprints and follow all manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Complete required documentation for all applicable jobs.
- Perform work under a microscope.
- Perform as qualified:
- Repetitive deburring operations of removing surface defects from a number of parts using manual and/or electric tools
- General cleaning of parts
- Operate various mass finishing equipment
- Assembly of components
- Packaging parts
- Laser marking
- Bending/Broaching
- Heat treat
- Blasting
- Other secondary operations as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Perform set-up of basic operations.
- Independently change jobs and perform line clearance between jobs.
- Inspect deburred parts to ensure conformance to quality specifications, using gauges, microscopes and other measuring tools as required. Follow procedures as needed to address non-conformities.
- May cross-train other employees on basic operations.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years relevant experience, including applying unique finishing skills
- Experience within a close tolerance manufacturing environment
- Intermediate ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the medical device industry
- Basic machining exposure
- Experience working under a microscope
- High level of manual dexterity
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.

- Participate in the development and promotion of the HSE culture
- Be exemplary in terms of health, safety and the environment, in particular by :
- Respecting and ensuring respect for the instructions and rules established in the field of health, safety and the environment (in particular the LISI golden rules)
- Immediately correcting, whenever possible, or reporting to his or her superiors and/or the HSE department, any malfunction or risky situation in the fields of health, safety and environmental protection
- Implementing preventive actions to reduce the environmental footprint and control health and safety risks
- Participate, upon request, in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups related to his/her professional scope
- Be familiar with the main health and safety risks and the main environmental impacts relating to the scope of his/her work
- Be familiar with the site's HSE policy and objectives
- To be able to make proposals for improving working conditions and limiting environmental impact
Physical Requirements
- Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of time
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally
- Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
Compensation and Benefits Overview
Starting Pay Range for this position is $20.00-$24.00/hour
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with applicable county or city regulations if they exceed the listed range. Actual pay rates are determined based on various factors, including but not limited to, local labor market conditions, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language proficiency, and other job-specific qualifications.
