MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
SUMMARY
Responsible for the completion of daily maintenance activities and supervision of assigned staff. Engaged in the facility cleaning, grounds keeping, and machine maintenance to improve facility appearance and maintain health standards and in support of production. Responsible for inventory of parts and tools, requisitioning and accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervises all janitorial, building maintenance and/or machine Maintenance personnel. Schedules work to be completed each day and assigns work to employees. Monitors material, quality and production. Ensures assignments are completed in a timely efficient manner.
- Coordinates building maintenance and repairs.
- Determines type of construction method to use in building of new facilities and repairs. Ensures that building code requirements are met.
- Determines whether projects will be constructed in-house or by outside vendor with the assistance of management.
- Troubleshoots problems and determines action to be taken.
- Disciplines employees who violate safety regulations and/ or perform work improperly; executes performance appraisals.
- Maintains the present maintenance software system.
- Champions safety programs. Ensures assigned staff is trained or receive the proper training on health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Enforces “Lock Out/ Tag Out” and other safety procedures.
- Communicates with production supervisors in scheduling machine repairs, moves and new installations.
- Maintains wastewater treatment and HAZMAT program. Stays updated on federal and state regulations.
- Issues/ completes requisitions for all tools, equipment and supplies.
- Efficiently schedules the activities of the maintenance personnel and estimates work hour requirements and supplies needed for job assignments.
- Ensure all people placed under their assigned area of responsibility, or all persons who may be affected by equipment or processes placed under their responsibility are complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local and State government, and LISI Aerospace policies, procedures and plans.
- All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
- All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
- Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises electricians, maintenance mechanics, and general maintenance employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) and four years professional experience or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and two years of related experience preferred or Minimum 5 years management experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs, and plumbing.
- Familiarity with techniques, code requirements, regulations and materials related to electrical process.
- Familiarity with common building and construction methods.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database systems (i.e. SPC & Shop Floor System); Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Working knowledge with company Timekeeping System (i.e. KRONOS)
Language skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division); Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning ability
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Certificates, licenses, registrations
Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR

Safety and Environmental
The responsibilities of the position include compliance with company and governmental safety, environmental and hazardous materials regulations and procedures. - Ensure that the equipment under his/her responsibility is in good condition and operates without risk. If this is not the case, he/she will ensure that protective measures are taken and/or that the equipment is consigned
- Identify and deal with HSE risk situations during the appropriate SHP
- Manage emergency situations with the help of the OHS and first response team members
- Relay and animate HSE communication within his/her teams
