QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

The Changeover Coordinator has the accountability for driving all setup and changeover activities on equipment in a safe and timely manner in accordance with production scheduling objectives and quality requirements.   

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Changeover Coordinator consist of but are not limited to:

  • Performs extensive mechanical setups on various food packaging equipment
  • Supports production line startups after setups. Makes necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Responsible to create and update setup sheets for different pieces of equipment on the production lines.
  • Rebuilds product feed belts and installs it on packaging equipment
  • Installs feed system components, vibratory pans, feed belts, augers, scales, wipers 
  • Mounts and adjusts product feed sensors
  • Supports Machine Operators with troubleshooting equipment
  • Operates equipment and runs production lines, as needed, including ordering materials, completing production paperwork, and managing crew on the line. 
  • Installs and setups coders. 
  • Leads line sanitation as needed in accordance with established quality and safety procedures and policies including equipment disassembly, sanitation, and post wash assembly.  
  • Takes direction on setup activities from the Production Supervisor, Manager, and Maintenance.
  • Engages in Continuous Improvement efforts   
  • Completes all applicable documentation during cleans.
  • Maintains flexibility to perform other tasks (may require working as Line Worker, Hopper Filler or other position during slower production periods or under other circumstances)
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • A working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, production equipment, policies and procedures, safety, and quality control standards preferred.
  • Food industry experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing and/or Maintenance experience required.

 

 

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Mechanical ability.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams is a must. 
  • The candidate must possess strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • The candidate must have ability to be flexible/manage change and work well under pressure.
  • Candidate must demonstrate integrity and dedication have a positive work attitude and strong work ethic.     
  • Proficient computer skills helpful.

Starting Pay: Changeover Coordinator I $24.94/hr., Changeover Coordinator II $26.00/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
