Warehouse Associate

Summary: Kim Controls is a Wholesale Distributor of Industrial Control and Automation Equipment. We currently have full-time position in our Shipping and Receiving department. This opportunity is 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:30. Some overtime is available when required.  Oversees daily shipping and receiving operations for the business. Assists with organizing shop materials and maintaining accurate inventory counts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Packages and labels product to be shipped - UPS WorldShip
• Receives, processes, and verify merchandise against purchase orders - QuickBooks
• Pick and organize parts orders for in-house manufacturing division and deliver to the workstation.
• Prepares forms and maintains records dealing with discrepancies and damaged merchandise.
• Manages returns to vendors; obtains vendor return authorization, ship back to vendor, track receipt of credit or replacement item.
• Schedule local couriers and LTL shipping as needed.
• Notifies need for Shipping supplies (boxes, packing materials, tape, label pouches, etc.)
• Maintains product inventory on hand (organized, clearly labeled, easily located, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).

Required Experience:

•  Previous experience in a shipping and/or receiving capacity.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Position requires a strong attention to detail and organization.
• General experience with computer systems (e-mail and general office applications).
• Must be independent and a self-starter, able to work with minimal daily supervision.

Preferred: 

• Experience working with QuickBooks. 
• General understanding of purchase orders, sales orders and inventory management.

Physical: Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds. The position requires periods of standing, reaching, stooping, bending and lifting.
