Summary/Objective: As a Staff Accountant, you will support analyzing operations, perform month end accounting close, maintaining accounting system and ledger, and analyzing inventory valuations in the Industrial Flow Control operating group.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month end closing activities to ensure accuracy and completeness including, but not limited to, journal entry preparation with supporting documentation and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of property tax and sales tax filings.
- Prepare general ledger, credit card and bank account reconciliations, and schedules to assist in the annual financial statement audit
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly corporate reporting
- Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
- Assist with special reporting and analysis projects
Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- CPA track preferred.
- Prior public accounting experience in a "Big 4" or "mid-tier" public accounting firm OR experience in a corporate accounting/reporting role (Preferred)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with customer-facing experience
- Detail oriented and deadline driven, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to comfortably work in a high-volume environment and manage multiple projects for our various brand companies
- Strong, current expertise with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Tools
- Proficiency with Epicor Profit21 (preferred)
- Ability to effectively work independently and with a team
- Coachable, self-starter, and team player
- Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English
