The Opportunity

EXL is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Clinical Product Management to play a key role in defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap for care management. The Product Manager is responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring the product aligns with EXL’s strategic goals and meets the customer’s needs.  EXL is looking for an experienced product leader who will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success to deliver an innovative care management product.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a product vision that aligns with the company’s goals, customer needs, and market opportunities. Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue opportunity and ROI.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to inform product development and identify market trends. Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build-vs.-buy perspective. Assess current competitor offerings and seek opportunities for differentiation
  • Roadmap Development: Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and releases, creating a clear product roadmap that balances user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints. Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by appropriate teams.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:  Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to execute on the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Develop, implement, and maintain product development timelines across multiple departments. Collaborate closely with internal teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Customer Feedback and Success: Gather, analyze, and act on customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings. Work with customer success teams to address user issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and measure the performance of the product using key metrics such as user engagement, retention, and revenue, making data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop go-to-market plans, positioning, and messaging to successfully launch and promote products.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for product updates, communicating progress and aligning with senior management, partners, and customers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must hold United States citizenship status
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance required. Current DOD Security Clearance preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in product management or related major
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product management or a related role
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch
  • Experience conducting market analysis in a regulated environment

Preferred:

  • Experience with Agile or other software development methodologies
  • Experience with the Pragmatic Framework methodology
  • Demonstrated healthcare expertise, Care Management expertise
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional global teams in a matrixed environment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, and u ser feedback
  • Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
