Lead Assistant Manager-L&A

Basic Function

 

  • Financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
  • Compile and analyze financial and operational data;
  • Prepare various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide final approval of  bank reconciliations
  • Provide final approval of suspense reconciliations and inventory
  • Review Trial Balance for  reasonability validation
  • Support and train reconciliation specialist.
  • Maintain banking relationship with client and service provider.
  • Adhere to clients anti- money laundering requirements
  • Analyze client business requirement and develop procedures and controls.
  • Adhere to standard operation control for audits. 
  • Troubleshoot, assist, resolve issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Journalize miscellaneous adjustments
  • Adhere to appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  • Develop accounting  flow procedures and controls to adhere to standard operation control audits
  • Oversee and approve tax reconciliation
  • Oversee and approve unclaimed property reconciliation
  • Maintain client’s standard level agreement
  • Trial Balance Reporting
  • Provide Adhoc reports
  • Provide data to Support Clients Blue Book and Green Book Reporting

Essential Functions

 

Below outlines the main areas of transaction processing responsibility:

 

  • Compile and analyze financial and operational data;
  • Prepare various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Ensure cash is handled in accordance with compliance and standard operating controls
  • Maintain and provide the relevant process reports in a timely manner
  • Prepare, Review, and Approve Bank and Suspense Reconciliation

 

Qualifications:

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in  accounting, business management, or finance  or years of experience equivalent

Life  and Annuity insurance industry knowledge

Strong treasury and accounting background

Good communication skills

Knowledge of  MS office including Excel

Knowledge of accounting software package

5 years or more experience in Life and Annuity Accounting Operation
