Sr. Buyer

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Sr. Buyer to join our growing Des Plaines Team!

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible of daily/weekly/monthly orders
• Supervise and develop an existing team: Receiving supervisor and Receivers
• Upload all weekly/monthly bids into Navision
• Authorize payment for purchases by reviewing invoices and related documentation
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals
• Maintain accuracy of stock code information within Navision (Pricing, Current Supplier, Current Purchase data)
• Monitor supplier performance (On-time deliveries, Meeting company quality & specifications)
• Follow up with vendors on open Pos and clear void POs from ERP system
• Assess inbound shipments and review inbound paperwork (PO/BOL/CCP1)
• Participate in monthly inventory count
• Contribute to team effort by training other employees within the department
• Ensure compliance of product specification and food safety
• Complete special projects as assigned
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

• Excellent planning and coordination skills
• Team leader qualities and outstanding communication skills
• Dedication and attention to detail with regards with regards to customer skills
• Solution seeker and effective decision maker
• Hands-on to make sure all flights are successfully dispatched on time
• The ability to manage quickly to overcome any deficiencies in the purchasing department
• Proficient computer skills (Particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Flexibility (different shifts – night, weekends, holidays)

• Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000
