Accounting Manager
SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our corporate team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all internal financial reporting to ensure meticulous month-end closes and accurate financial insights. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing tight deadlines while juggling various accounting activities. You will lead our accounting team in preparing budget-to-actual financial statements, supervising and coaching staff accountants, and preparing for year-end audits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES- Accounting Manager
- Generate precise internal financial statements for our 3PL subsidiaries, ensuring timely reporting.
- Oversee budget-to-actual analysis, providing valuable insights to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Review bank account reconciliations and balance sheet accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
- Document and implement sound accounting policies and procedures within the department.
- Collaborate in the development and monitoring of key accounting metrics that drive performance improvement.
- Coordinate the annual audit process and prepare necessary audit schedules and documentation.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Assistant Controller, Corporate Controller, or CFO.
SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS- Accounting Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with a focus on supply chain or logistics operations.
- Proficient in SAP and a strong understanding of US GAAP
- Comprehensive knowledge of all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Must be able to work in-office at least 4 days per week
