SUMMARY 
Responsible for meeting individual sales goals and new business targets, in addition to serving Pre-/Post - doctoral individuals in an endorsed environment to assist in their understanding of our customized insurance program.  Also, responsible for educating potential clients about our sponsored products to establish a relationship that results in the acquisition of business.  This is accomplished through a consultative sales approach, setting remote group or personal meetings (on and off campus), and providing insurance insight and product information. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Assists Producers in development of new business and maintenance of existing business.

•    Learns from a mentoring producer; attends multiple client visits including, Renewal Meetings, Prospect Meetings/Dinners/Lunches, RFP Interviews, traveling to where client is located.

•    Manages an assigned region keeping expenses within defined parameters, reaching specific sales goals, and building relationships with student members within the region

•    Develops and follow up on leads generated through on-campus/field activity.

•    Provides reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the program.

•    Networks with centers of influence within multiple targets through regular in-person visits and lead productive outbound activities.

•    Hosts on-campus and virtual educational seminars, participate in vendor fairs and other student events.

•    Sells renewal business to existing clients.

•    Analyzes clients needs to assure account is appropriate for program(s) and or products.

•    Conducts sales presentations.

•    Maintains contact with insured so that on renewal appropriate coverages are in force.

•    Maintains professional relationships with co-workers in order to retain and expand agency-insured relationships, and develop internal cross-sell referrals where possible.

•    Continues to improve knowledge of the insurance industry by means of seminars, formal classes and self study.

•    Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.

•    Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS 
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Two (2) or more years industry or related experience

Demonstrated potential for identifying and soliciting new business prospects in concert with the mentoring Producer, supported by proven product knowledge and/or relevant sales experience

Previous experience working with Pre-/Post-Doctoral individuals or in a consultative sales environment

Valid Insurance License within 60 days
