Account Manager - Leave Advantage
SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting Alliant's mid-market client (100-10,000 employees) leave support program – Alliant Leave Advantage (ALA), primarily dedicated to one of three regions. This includes providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers, including, assistance with requests for proposal for clients' short and long term disability policies and leave administration services, communicate with clients and other Alliant service teams on clients disability policies and leave administration services, support implementation of client leave requirements and policies with partner carriers, work with absence, disability, and life (ADL) consultants and compliance consultants as necessary to support ALA clients, and support the ALA Account Executive's book of business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fosters and manages overall relationship with clients ensuring retention of mid-market book of business with high satisfaction;
- Reviews client teams leave RFPs;
- Supports Alliant’s core account service team in selecting which carrier partners to solicit for leave administration services;
- Analyzes carrier partner proposals for short and long term disability, and leave administration services to verify benefits, premiums, and competitiveness;
- Tracks and documents leave carrier partner performance in each RFP for short and long term disability and leave administration services;
- Reviews leave administration service agreements for accuracy of services;
- Meets with Alliant core account service times and clients for pre-renewal strategy, proposal delivery and explanation;
- Assist with implementation calls between client and carrier partner as appropriate;
- Ensures that client team handles ALA-related client inquiries and manages team to effectively service ALA clients; resolves escalated carrier partner service issues;
- Meets with clients as needed or directed by ALA account executive;
- Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
- Help develop and support innovative and effective solutions for Alliant’s mid-market Absence, Disability, and Life (ADL) practice by partnering with the sales and account teams, Alliant Leave Advantage team members, the national Alliant Employee Benefits compliance team, and other national Alliant Employee Benefits teams;
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Six (6) or more years related work experience
Valid insurance license
SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
