Responsibilities:   

  • Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of ordered merchandise, including quantity and quality.
  • Reject unacceptable merchandise following internal procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Check and document delivery notes for all received goods.
  • Distribute merchandise to appropriate storage areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and storage protocols.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures, date marking, and proper storage guidelines to maintain inventory freshness and quality.
  • Adhere to HACCP standards and all other food safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient receiving area.
  • Report non-compliance issues to the FS/QA Supervisor, FS/QA Manager, and Department Manager, ensuring prompt corrective actions are taken.
  • Perform daily food safety tasks such as pre-operational, operational, and post-operational checks, temperature monitoring, cooler/freezer inspections, thermometer calibration, sanitizer checks, and oversight of third-party cleaning company activities.
  • Address inquiries regarding food safety procedures and reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) through routine floor inspections and self-audits.
  • Conduct regular traceability audits, laboratory collections, and swabs for testing.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the FS/QA Supervisor or Manager.  

 

Qualifications:  

  • At least 2 years of experience in food processing, hospitality, or a high-paced catering establishment with floor monitoring. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Possesses proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.  
  • Displays exceptional organizational and detail-oriented capabilities. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance principles. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Familiarity with HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems is advantageous. (Preferred certification in HACCP) 
  • Possesses a Food Safety Certification, such as Safe SERV training. 
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment. Exhibits self-motivation, a professional work ethic, and a service-oriented approach. 
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
