The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all sales activities and results as assigned within the respective geographic region and assigned accounts. This position is responsible for the selection, training, motivation, and supervision of all distributors and manufacturers' representatives as assigned within the geographic region. In addition, this role focuses on expanding existing distributor relationships to drive revenue growth within the territory.

1. Work to meet assigned sales quota for the region, including new product and promotional sales and customer additions.
2. Create and sustain distributor and end user contractor relationships with influential decision makers, top managers and owners of all key end users in the assigned territory. 
3. Make end user calls to job sites and participate in regular updates to management at key distributors.
4. Attend tradeshows to develop a strong customer base and follow up with customers after each event.
5. Develop strategic account plans for manufacture representatives and distributors that outline and communicate sales strategy, including where we are today and where we want to grow their business in the future.
6. Execute strategies / programs that will maximize sales while upholding our margins with our key accounts. Ensure that both short and long term strategies are developed and maintained on a frequent bases focusing on significant opportunities
7. Participate in annual, quarterly and monthly planning with the top 25 national accounts. Set objectives as well as reviews with distributors and the Director of Sales.
8. Continually prospect for new customers and channels of distribution, adding distributors and stocking locations where necessary to increase territory sales. Keep a current listing all of prospective new accounts.
9. Complete and submit all reports as needed. Maintain current and accurate records, updating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) sales software on a daily basis. 
10. Ensure that all company property is accounted for and maintained properly and all company policies, procedures, programs and promotions are implemented.
11. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

Qualifications 
  • Associates Degree and five ﴾5﴿ years of regional sales experience are required. Bachelors Degree preferred. Must prove a record of continued growth and success. Must be bond‐able, and possesses a valid drivers license at all times.
  • Must have strong communications skills, verbal and written. Ability to adapt and function in an environment of changing priorities often under tight time constraints. Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite ﴾Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint﴿. Strong team focus and ability to work with others, both internal and external to the organization.
Physical Demand Requirements  
 
Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel Requirements
 
 50 % (2 weeks per month)
