Canadian National Sales Manager

Overview:
The Canadian National Sales Manager will lead a dynamic team of sales representatives across all provinces, driving the achievement of key sales performance goals throughout Canada. This role involves crafting and executing effective sales strategies, developing impactful promotional campaigns, and fostering strong relationships with distributor partners, contractors, and various B2B customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of independent sales rep agencies to consistently exceed sales targets across all Canadian provinces.
  • Account Management: Build and sustain productive relationships with national accounts and major regional distributors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and nurture value-based relationships with large contractors, industrial accounts, and MRO customers to drive long-term growth.
  • Sales Achievement: Take ownership of achieving sales quotas in the assigned region, including goals for new product launches and promotional efforts. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and distribution channels.
  • Promotional Strategy: Design and implement compelling promotional activities to boost sales of both established and new product lines.
  • Strategic Planning: Gain a deep understanding of each account’s unique culture, key personnel, and strategic direction to effectively drive business.
  • Data-Driven Sales Plans: Collaborate with internal teams to create a strategic sales plan based on data insights and provide regular sales activity reports to management.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience, with previous Canadian sales experience highly desirable.
  • Skills: Exceptional versatility and adaptability in responding to changing business needs and priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Additional Requirements: Must be bondable and hold a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility: Occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to handle objects or controls; reach with arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and effectively communicate.
  • Lifting: Occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision: Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
