Marketing Intern - Outdoor Products Team

As a Marketing Intern on our Outdoor Products team, you’ll be at the forefront of our campaigns, from drafting innovative proposals to preparing captivating presentations and researching the latest consumer trends. This role offers a unique opportunity to tackle real-world business challenges, think critically and creatively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, all while learning from seasoned marketing professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Craft Communication Plans: Develop strategic communication plans to support new product launches and promotions tailored to outdoor enthusiasts.
  2. Creative Content Development: Assist the Marketing team in creating engaging content and collateral that resonates with outdoor adventurers.
  3. Global Market Adaptation: Review and edit content for global markets to ensure cultural relevance and accuracy, with a focus on outdoor lifestyles.
  4. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to uncover consumer trends and insights specific to the outdoor products market.
  5. Market Research: Investigate consumer opinions and marketing strategies, proposing adjustments to enhance our approach for outdoor products.
  6. Visual Data Representation: Create compelling graphic representations of data and simplify complex research for stakeholders.
  7. Proposal and Presentation Preparation: Develop marketing proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of the outdoor products team.
  8. Additional Duties: Take on various tasks as needed to support the marketing team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and a commitment to staying updated on new marketing tactics and tools.
  • Marketing experience through part-time jobs, academic clubs, or volunteer work is preferred.
  • Demonstrated creative instinct, passion for marketing, deep consumer empathy, and enthusiasm for outdoor brands.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex research into easily understandable language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and data tracking tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of consumer psychology and buying habits.
  • Quick learner with excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to find actionable solutions to complex problems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
