The Wilderness Resort is seeking hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, customer service driven individuals to join our fast-paced team! Employees have access to great benefits, amenity usage, and so much more! 
 
The Benefits Coordinator position is responsible for answering employees' questions and administers employee enrollment in all benefits and group insurance programs for the organization.
 

This is a full time position. The typical scheduled is Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm with an occasional Saturday rotation from 8:00am-12:00pm.

Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Field basic inquiries from managers and applicants as it relates to benefits.
  • Directs the interpretation and application of established human resources policies and procedures throughout the organization to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
  • Benefit Administration
    • Enroll new employees in benefit plans through the payroll system.
    • Provide written and verbal information/communications to employees regarding all benefit programs including Health, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, ER Paid Life, Voluntary Life AD&D, Flexible Spending, Pet Insurance, and 401K.
    • Organize employee enrollment meeting: 401K (Quarterly), Dean, MetLife, VSP (Open Enrollment, Annually).
  • Benefit Management
    • Reconcile employee deductions with total billed for all benefit programs.
    • Work with Corporate Director and Human Resources Manager on obtaining quotes from M3 for our benefit programs annually to ensure the company is providing the most cost effective and best possible benefit package to our employees.
    • Run employee hour reports to ensure employees are maintaining eligibility.
    • Follow up with any and all waiver requests.
  • Organize and direct Semi-Annual Blood Drives, Breast Cancer Awareness month Jeans Day Fundraiser and Autism Awareness month Jeans Day fundraiser. 
  • Manage unemployment compensation claims.
  • Process employment verifications.
  • Process terminations in the payroll system.
    • Work with EBC to send COBRA information to terminated employees if applicable.
  • Follow up with 2 week resignation letters.
  • Maintain employee medical files.
  • Process FMLA claims through TASC
  • Send Birthday cards to all salaried staff members.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
