Family Support Specialist

Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00/hour depending on experience + sign on bonus (half paid after 30 days of employment and half paid after 90 days of employment; pro-rated for part-time). 

Wayside is very excited to be hiring a full-time Family Support Specialist (FSS) for our Framingham Family Resource Center (FFRC). We are seeking an energetic, flexible, and creative person to join our team in supporting families throughout the MetroWest area. 

The FFRC is part of a statewide network of community-based providers offering a “one stop shop” for multi-cultural parenting programs, support groups, information and referral resources, and education for families whose children range in age from birth to 18 years of age. The FFRC can provide easy access to information and assistance related to health care, safety, employment, training, education and peer support in Middlesex County. Our goal is to support families to strengthen their bonds, connect to others, and engage in their community.

What You Will Do: 

• Provide information and educational resources to Family Members in addition to providing referrals to community resources;
• Helps develop the Family Resource Center calendar of activities;
• Provides direct support to individuals and families;
• Hosts Parent and Youth Support groups.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associates Degree in Human Services or related field with 2+ years of experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Some evening and one Saturday a month are required.
