SUMMARY: The Replenishment Buyer II is responsible for the overall inventory management for selected categories of merchandise to ensure service levels are maintained at the Wheeler Fleet Solutions Distribution Centers. Manages the day-to-day activities of inventory forecasting and replenishment for selected categories of inventory replenishment utilizing an automated replenishment system. Works with both internal customers (Ex. Sales/Engineering/Operations) as well as external customers (Suppliers) that require continuous support. Maintaining a sense of urgency as well as constant professionalism is required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes various tools in the replenishment system to manage inventory levels for product categories through the analysis of trends, exceptions, and demand history to ensure we are replenishing and managing the SKUs in the most efficient way possible
- Assist Category Managers and Product Specialists with line updates, changes, level additions and stock adjustments to ensure that proper inventory management processes are followed, new items are properly set up and all merchandise is ordered in time to be received and processed by the DC’s prior to the rollout date
- Monitor and communicate the performance of suppliers via scorecard metrics
- Maintain and control all ERP parameters to ensure an efficient purchasing plan (i.e. – lead time, order frequency, safety stock, supplier master data, etc.)
- Perform daily purchasing activities such as purchase order issuance and open order management (rescheduling as business needs shift)
- Act as a liaison between multiple departments and suppliers on inventory management matters
- Analyze data to identify and act on factors such as negative PPV, slow moving inventory, demand forecast accuracy, and total cost of ownership
- Work with light duty and heavy-duty Buying Groups to maximize financial incentives within the programs and to ensure supplier compliance to the program agreements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field
- or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and understanding of how decisions impact financial statements
- Previous experience utilizing an ERP system to manage inventory
- Knowledge of ISO Quality Management requirements and processes
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestic or international
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous Supply Chain Management experience in an Automotive industry
- APICS/ISM, Lean, Continuous Improvement certification(s)
- Previous Infor M3 ERP system experience
