SUMMARY: As part of a leading Global Aerospace Distributor, the Operations Leadis responsible for understanding and executing all facets of operational processes including order fulfillment, receiving, domestic / international shipping, and inventory control but also ensures material and process flow within these areas are optimal at all times.  The Operations Lead will be required to work extensively in a team environment to achieve expected results. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:    

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ability to understand and influence process improvement initiatives 

  • Ensures team is trained on key aspects of operational processes and procedures 

  • Tracks process flow within Operation and coordinates with Operations Manager to identify potential bottlenecks and to ensure the right capacity is in place to fulfill demand 

  • Proficient in reading and understanding manufacturer certification and other applicable vendor documentation, packing slips and 8130 tags 

  • Ability to prepare orders for domestic and international shippingverify all required documentation is included 

  • Understands Export / Customs requirements and documentationincluding SLI and AES filings 

  • Coordinates with Freight Forwarders on applicable shipments 

  • Capable of performing inventory cycle counts and makes appropriate inventory adjustments as needed 

  • Order Picking and Packaging 

  • Receiving, Packing, and Storing material in warehouse locations  

  • Ensures warehouse and workstations are clean and organized. 

  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   

  • Associate degree  

  • 3+ year of relevant/technical work experience OR 

  • An additional 2 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree. 

  • Ability to effectively communicate across cross functional teams 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications  

  • Ability to read and write at a proficient level 

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical certification. 

  • 5+ years of Operations/ Warehouse Distribution experience 

  • Knowledge of Component Control Quantum. 

  • Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
