Power BI Developer

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting the Aviation Group by creating and integrating extensive scalable solutions with focus on Power BI based technologies so our company can make informed decisions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Generates reports of KPI scorecards and effective dashboards after gathering and translating end user requirements.
• Capable to turn large amounts of raw data into actionable information.
• Collaborate with team on the performance and usability of the system.
• Designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation.
• Establish new technologies / ideas to the team.
• Establish a presence and collaborate with the company growing BI Practice.
• Implementing security measures.
• Construct and establish objectives through consultation with staff at all levels.
• Producing reports and creating dashboards for end users to serve the business needs.
• Testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably.
• Evaluate emerging technologies; implements architectures based on best practices; ensures system integrity with regards to security and compliance guidelines.
• Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Maintain technical knowledge and stay abreast of technical advancements in primary functional areas of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree
• 4+ years of relevant/ technical work experience or
• An additional 3 years specific work experience in lieu of a degree
• 1-3 years of experience in Microsoft BI, Advanced analytics, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Work experience with Microsoft PowerApps, SQL Server.
• Developing PowerApps model driven apps.
• Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of small-scale projects from end-to-end.
• Writing SQL queries.
• Experienced in gathering business requirements and generate technical specifications to application.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Masters degree 
• 7+ years of relevant work experience
• 2-5 years of experience in Microsoft BI, Advanced analytics, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
