Production Manager

SUMMARY: The Production Manager is responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency and integrity of the repair/overhaul operations of the company. The person will be a hands-on leader providing direction, coaching, and management to the team. The position is both strategic and detail-oriented, with proven operations, supply chain and technical experience in an aerospace MRO environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establish operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and delivery.
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
- Work closely with the General Manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
- Work closely with the Materials Manager to ensure effective utilization of inventory and supplies.
- Prioritize production throughput and execute multi department expedite plans with department leads.
- Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment as well as assist with new product development and integration into production.
- Determine staffing and training needs in order to meet budgetary targets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7 years of relevant/technical work experience and 4-7 years of leadership experience OR
- an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of operational work experience
- 8+ years in a supervisory role
- 8+ years in the aviation industry
