SUMMARY:  The Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for leading the optimization of processes and workflows while providing advanced technical support for both existing and new repair processes. The role emphasizes the improvement of manufacturing capabilities and the development of innovative solutions for products used in commercial and military applications involving high bypass, turbo-jet, prop or shaft gas turbine/turbo-machinery systems.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain master repair processes including part routings and operations sheets.
  • Provide shop support and technical data interpretation to the team.
  • Design tools and fixtures as required.
  • Review shop discrepancies between technical data and part condition.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment comply with regulations.
  • Develop new ideas and research emerging technologies to innovate and expand manufacturing capabilities.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers and customers and support onsite visits.
  • Support repair development and continuous improvement activities as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or 2 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex technical data and engineering drawings.
  • Strong familiarity with visual and dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with ERP systems.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hands-on experience in a related OEM or MRO Manufacturing/Process Engineering discipline.
  • Working knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, including milling, turning, grinding, plasma spray, shot peen, and welding.
  • Demonstrated leadership in process improvement, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of leading projects from concept through execution.
